- A compound-complex sentence
- is made from two independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses.
- has one complex sentence joined to a simple sentence with a conjunction.
- He came and found the book which he had borrowed from me.
- The TESL students were crying but they were comforted by their lecturer who cared for them.
- After the song is played, the students sit down and do their assignments.
- While Tom reads novels, Jack reads comics, but Sam only reads magazines.
- Because I paid attention, I got an A on the test and I was so happy.
